I have been here for a long time, since I did the last shoot of the film, I did not have time to come back here and update my blog. Sorry! I have been working doing sound and acting in my colleges production. My film is edited. First cut done! Look very good. My editor Matt Jones he is doing a great work of pos production I by tomorrow I will have the final draft of the film.

I recorded the sound track for the film twice, the first record was good but did not connect well with the images, so thanks to a friend of Mathew we went in Queens University studio and rerecorded the sour track. I will post a video.

I will add a few pictures of the shoot days.

I am looking forward to finally see this film in Odeon.

Today I went to BMC to record the audio for the kitchen scene. Because I filmed in the garage there was a lot of traffic noise in the audio, I decided  to redo the dialogue again in the studio. It is all fine now.

Tomorrow is my biggest shoot. I have 24 people involved on this shoot. I have been planing the production for that scene( football scene) for more than a month working everyday on it. So tomorrow will be the big day. I am quote relaxed now because everything I could have done to make sure the shoot would be successful  I did! Now is time to relax and work hard tomorrow. I have everything secured and ready to go. The transport is arranged, the equipment is in my car already, the cast and crew secured, risk assessment done, just finished my catering. I will be serving orange juice, a baguette with carrot, cheese, ham, mayonnaise, pepper, one digest biscuit and for later a bar of cereal, also I have bottles of water, bin bags to collect the rubbish, first AID kit. Now check out the food! looks good and taste good. I resourced everything myself with the help of my beloved.

Today was the second day of my shoot! I shoot the kitchen scene yesterday it went fantastic, got lovely footage. Today was the birthday scene and everything went well. I am tired but more confident for the next shoot, I was very worried before if the shoot would work the way I want and now I can see the film getting style. I have a big shot on tuesday and sunday. will be hard but I am confident, I have a fantastic crew with me who are putting the heart to make this happen. I will going to rest now and think about my next big day.

I did a research of how birthday cakes used to look like in 50s and I got an image of a blue cake, today I just finished making the same cake for the 50s birthday scene. check out!

Ready to shoot the first scene tomorrow! I am exhausted but happy for achieved a good result with my sets and props. have a look at the handcrafting trophy and the rich boy birthday present. The birthday cake is baked still have to decorate it later. I will post a picture after I decorate it.

Hi! finally more updates of my production. Everything is secured now!  I managed to get the nine kids to film, secured all the actors and I am ready to shoot! Got all the costumes and props done. I had to buy costume for 14 people. But that the way it is.. I would hate to ask my contributors to after their costume plus if they can not get what I am looking for that would compromise the footage . I am exhausted  by now.. I have been working in sets and props since 3 weeks ago, I am in a stage that I don't eat very well, I stopped my leisure and I badly sleep.. worried if the shoot will work out. I am happy with my research, all my props are authentic from the 50s. I managed to get two comics books from 1951 to add as props in the child bedroom, also there is a 5 seconds scene that the mother is preparing a birthday cake, I had to improvising a posh 50s kitchen for that scene. I got in pound shop a few fake tiles and putted over my kitchen surface and added a few props, such as famous magazines from the 50s, and a cake mixer that I borrowed from Niall's mum. The mixer is exactly the same as the one I found in my research. Research context in this film can not be better.

My fake newspaper with my headlines and my friend's picture on it. 

I need the rich boys's cake looks like I was from the 50s, I did a quick research and I will be making that cake. 

 I got in Tesco all the kids costume.. they have to be all grey but grey shirts was far more expansive, I got the cheapest white shirts and now I am dying it as grey with dylon! well that is it for today! I will back now to work in a few more props and pray that the shoot on saturday and sunday will work fine. If anyone wants to come over to see it drop me a line! I am adding the picture of a few extras sets I made and of the props. Ops!! I forgot to say there is a scene where the character reads an article on the newspaper I managed to get online a company in England who does fake newspaper and is already delivered, one of my friend kindly posed for the picture.. have a look!
